Can we cover a whole destination with several cameras?
Yes — that’s exactly how many boards use it. The seafront, the high street, the castle and the harbour can each have their own camera, all under one account, all appearing together in one control panel. Each camera is simply the same price per month, so add as many as you like.
Can we put the live view on our destination website?
Yes — it’s one of the main reasons to have it. You get an ad-free, branded embed of your live view to drop straight onto your own pages. A moving shot of the real place sells a visit far better than a still photo, and it costs nothing extra to run.
Does the camera film people?
It’s designed to be pointed at the view — the skyline, the coast, the landmark — not at individuals, and it has no microphone, so no audio is ever captured. Where a camera overlooks a public area, treat it like any other public-realm camera and signpost it as you normally would.
Does it cost anyone anything to watch?
Never a penny, and there’s no limit on it. Watching is free on your website, on YouTube and on the Real View TV app — no sign-up, no subscription, no paywall. Viewing is unlimited: no cap on how many people watch or for how long, and no bandwidth charge if your view has a good month. There is never a surprise bill.
How does the camera get online — do you install it?
You do, and it’s genuinely just plugging it in. The camera arrives set up for your view. Mount it, connect a single network cable that carries both power and internet, and it finds itself and starts streaming automatically. If the mounting is awkward or high up, managed installation is available from £299.
What does it cost a public body or partnership?
Plans start at £99 per camera per month, and the camera is included — we ship it, we own it, we manage it remotely, so there’s nothing to buy. From then on the same view reaches your website, YouTube, ready-to-post social clips and the Real View TV app. Each camera is simply the same price per month, so add as many as your destination needs.
What is Real View, and what do we get from it?
Real View is a TV app — people watch beautiful live places on their televisions around the clock. Your destination joins it, named on screen, and we’re extending the same views onto screens in care homes, waiting rooms and receptions. It’s extra exposure for your destination, included in your plan.
